#3 Olympus Has Fallen

The movie at the number 3 spot on my top ten favorite movies list is   Olympus Has Fallen.  This movie is in my number 3 spot because of how action packed it is. I love movies that have some sort of military action, and this movie has just that. This is an entertaining and thrilling movie that is violent and very patriotic as well. I think the movie is very well acted, intense, and enjoyable. Movies that are all three, have a special place in my heart.          Olympus Has Fallen is an action-packed movie with an amazing plot and storyline. After a car accident where the First Lady dies, Secret Service Special Agent Mike Banning is disgraced and transferred to the bureaucratic service. When the White House is under a terrorist attack, President Benjamin Asher is kidnapped by terrorist Kang and Banning breaks in the place. Now he needs to save the President's son who is chased by the terrorists that want to use the child to force Asher to give the access code to a powerful weap

#4 Friday

The movie Friday is at the number 4 spot on the list of my top ten favorite movies. The movie is at the number 4 spot on my list because it is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. The actors playing the role of these characters are a perfect fit. The movie has a great plot and storyline. The movie takes real life hood problems and turns it into a comedy as well as a lesson.         This movie is hilarious! As far as comedies go about the hood, this one is hands down the best. Chris Tucker and Ice Cube really mix up nicely in this one. This is a feel-good movie and doesn't glorify the gritty hard reality violence of the inner city at all, but rather focuses on struggling to make it with good humor and staying positive. Sure, they smoke weed all up and downside to side through this movie, but you must remember that brings a certain audience and humor to it that wasn't present before. This movie is downright laugh out loud caliber. The situations this odd couple is forc

#5 Boyz N the Hood

The movie I have in the number 5 spot of my top ten favorite movies list is  Boyz N the Hood.  The movie is at the number 5 spot on my list because it is one of my favorite dramas. From the acting to the plot, the movie is truly great. What makes  Boyz N the Hood  so good is the fact that they directly explored the nature of the problem while also humanizing its characters as more than the causalities of wanton violence, drug use, and death .  These characters aren't teenage parents, alcoholics, and gang members out of choice, but because they have been told there's no other option.        Black and in their late teens, Tre, Doughboy and Ricky - the latter two half-brothers - have hung out together since they were kids, they are doing so more after Tre's mother, Reva, seven years ago sent him, bright but adversarial, to live with his father, Furious, in the Crenshaw district of South Central Los Angeles across the street from the other two living with their single moth

#6 Thor Ragnarok

The movie at the number 6 spot on the list of my top ten movies is   Thor Ragnarok.  This movie is at the number 6 spot because it is one of my favorite action movies as well as one of my favorite marvel movies. Another reason this movie is ranked 6 on my list is because Thor is my favorite superhero. I believe that he is the strongest hero and if there were to be fight with any other Marvel hero, he’d win. I think the movie is a great way to see how Thor is a great character in the Marvel movies and he shows how great he is in the masterpiece that he stars in.          Thor Ragnarok  is about a superhero named Thor who is imprisoned in another universe. While imprisoned in this universe he meets his former ally and new avenger, Hulk. This wasn’t the ordinary, friendly reunion between friends, this was the exact opposite. Thor and Hulk were both imprisoned, and at this institution, there were fights for freedom. The Hulk is the top dog, if anyone defeats him, they win. So, Thor an

#7 The Longest Yard

The movie at the number 7 spot on the list of my favorite movies is,   The Longest Yard.  The reason this movie has the number 7 spot on my list is because of the great story line and because it has football, a sport that I love. I wouldn’t consider the movie to be a comedy nor just a sports movie. I’d say it’s a mixture of three categories: a drama, comedy, and sports movie. Adam Sandler is a great actor and close to all the movies he is starring in are great films, like   The Longest Yard.  I am confident to say that this is my favorite football, or movie that contains football.          The Longest Yard  is about a washed quarterback who ends up in jail. And while he is there, he is offered a deal, which is to put together a football team in exchange of a reduced sentence. He accepts the offer and forms a football team full of inmates. This team full of inmates are challenged with the task to play against a team full of prison guards. The team full of prisoners must play agains

#8 The Boy In Striped Pajamas

The movie at the number 8 spot on my top ten favorite movie list is The Boy In Striped Pajamas. This movie is at the number 8 spot on my list because this is the only movie that will get my eyes watering every time I watch it. The movie is also one of my favorites historically based movies I’ve watched, which makes the movie scenes even more emotionally sound. Another reason I like the movie is because it’s an adventurous movie and this adds more suspense to the scenes as well as it keeps us guessing what’s next.          The Boy In Striped Pajamas is about a boy, who is the son of a Nazi Germany general. The boy and his family lived in a city for most of his childhood until his father got a new job on a concentration camp, causing the family to have to move. The boy had no idea that where he was, was a concentration camp, so he was very curious of the area and decided to adventure out. He ventured far out and came to a large fence where he would meet a new friend. He met a boy wh

#9 Madea's Big Happy Family

The movie at the number nine spot of my list of top ten favorite movies is Madea’s Big Happy Family. The reason this is in my number nine spot is because this is my favorite Tyler Perry film to date. Madea’s Big Happy Family is also one of my favorite comedies if not my favorite. Not only is the film a comedy, it’s also a drama. I believe the movie has the perfect balance between drama and comedy, which made me fall in love with it. Another reason I enjoy the movie so much, is because I can relate to some parts. Growing up in a black household and having family dinners and occasions, I can compare the characters in the movie to some of my family members.          Madea's Big Happy Family is about a woman named Shirley, Madea’s niece, who has an illness and wants to gather the family to tell them about it. Shirley has cancer and wants her family to comfort her during this time of stress, but her kids all have their own personal issues they’re focused on and not paying any atten

#10 Django Unchained

Django Unchained is at the number ten spot in the list of my top ten favorite movies. Django  Unchained is one of the best action films to date. Not only is it an action movie, but it is also a comedy. The movie resembles real life events in the past, such as slavery and bounty hunting. Django Unchained gets wild at any given moment. One moment there will be a conversation, and the next someone’s getting their head blown off. The suspense of the movie is what draws the audience in. The unexpected plot twists and sudden action makes the movie so phenomenal.         Django Unchained is about a slave who is accompanying a bounty hunter who is on a mission to capture men named the Brittle Brothers. Their mission to capture the Brittle Brothers was a success and the bounty hunter frees Django. After Django is freed, he and the bounty hunter, Schultz join each other and go on a hunt for the South’s most dangerous criminals. Django and Schultz go on a journey across the South and end up
