#9 Madea's Big Happy Family

    The movie at the number nine spot of my list of top ten favorite movies is Madea’s Big Happy Family. The reason this is in my number nine spot is because this is my favorite Tyler Perry film to date. Madea’s Big Happy Family is also one of my favorite comedies if not my favorite. Not only is the film a comedy, it’s also a drama. I believe the movie has the perfect balance between drama and comedy, which made me fall in love with it. Another reason I enjoy the movie so much, is because I can relate to some parts. Growing up in a black household and having family dinners and occasions, I can compare the characters in the movie to some of my family members. 

 

    Madea's Big Happy Family is about a woman named Shirley, Madea’s niece, who has an illness and wants to gather the family to tell them about it. Shirley has cancer and wants her family to comfort her during this time of stress, but her kids all have their own personal issues they’re focused on and not paying any attention to their mother. Her kids didn’t know that something was wrong with her, so they took the time they can spend with her for granted until the news reached them. 

 

    My favorite parts of the movie are whenever Sabrina would yell out Byron’s name in a very annoying way. Byron is Sabrina’s baby father. There were multiple scenes that she would call out his name saying, “BYROOONNNNNNNN”. There was a scene when she’s on TV calling his name, when she was at work on the phone with him, in front of his girlfriend, at the family diner uninvited, and entering Madea’s house. Basically, Sabrina would call his name in a very unnecessary and annoying way that would make everyone angry, causing Madea to tell her to “shut the hell up.” Many people who watched the movie say that these parts of the movie aren’t funny and annoying, but I don’t think it’s annoying, I think they’re the funniest parts of the movie. 

 

    Tyler Perry movies never disappoint. Tyler Perry’s movie productions are always top tier, from the acting, plot, to the visuals. All the black actors and actresses Tyler hires are always the perfect fit for their character in the movie. Lauren London played her role as Sabrina in the movie so well. So did Bow Wow as Byron. And of course, Tyler Perry as Madea.

#3 Olympus Has Fallen

     The movie at the number 3 spot on my top ten favorite movies list is   Olympus Has Fallen.  This movie is in my number 3 spot because of how action packed it is. I love movies that have some sort of military action, and this movie has just that. This is an entertaining and thrilling movie that is violent and very patriotic as well. I think the movie is very well acted, intense, and enjoyable. Movies that are all three, have a special place in my heart.          Olympus Has Fallen is an action-packed movie with an amazing plot and storyline. After a car accident where the First Lady dies, Secret Service Special Agent Mike Banning is disgraced and transferred to the bureaucratic service.      The movie at the number one spot on my top ten favorite movies list is Avatar. Avatar is at my number one spot because it is my favorite movie of ALL TIME. The movie is the highest grossing movie of all time, rightfully so. The movie is so great because of its amazing special effects, good story, the conflict, and the great actors as well as writers. I think the movie was ahead of its time. The graphics, effects, and visuals were advanced for the late 2000s.
